I have reported this so many times, as soon as it is cleared there is more rubbish dumped. My mum is 84 and doesn’t walk very well and she has to walk in the road as the pavement is full of crap, why can there not be signs threatening to prosecute put up, I have also reported it to the environmental enforcement team-49 Elfrida Crescent, Bellingham, London, SE6 3EW

Council-owned tree fallen into private garden and damaged boundary fence. A large tree originating from Lewisham Council-owned land has fallen across the boundary into the rear garden of 53 Chudleigh Road, London, SE4 1JX. The tree has broken and displaced sections of our boundary fence and is now spread across a substantial part of the garden. The trunk and several large branches remain in place, and we are concerned that parts may still be unstable and present a risk to anyone entering the garden. Please arrange an urgent inspection, confirm that the tree is under Lewisham Council’s ownership and arrange for the tree, trunk and branches to be made safe and removed. The fallen tree has also caused damage to private property, including the boundary fence. We will separately notify Lewisham Council’s Insurance and Risk team regarding the property damage. Date discovered: 31/05/2026 Council land/location where the tree originated: Used to be a stream behind our garden. Now it's dry and bushes. Property affected: 53 Chudleigh Road, London, SE4 1JX Access to the garden is through the house and will need to be arranged in advance. Photographs showing the tree, its point of origin, the fallen trunk and the damaged fence are attached.
