There are huge and tall trees with excessive foliage on the pavement on Handen Road bus stop that block the view of bus drivers and all other drivers from the exit of Dorville Road. The residents around the area using Dorville Road have been keeping quiet about the situation for months and talking amongst themselves that the council has it on their to do list to prune the trees. It has now become glaring that the council is not bothered. There are several times that drivers have to keep edging forward little by little in order to see if the road is clear to exit Dorville road. It has led to queues coming out of Dorville Road and near collisions because these trees have completely blocked the views of buses and vehicles coming from the direction of Handen Road bus stop!
I believe the council has steps in place to curb the excesses of these trees. I have walked past trees that some councils put meshes around them to reduce their excessive growth but this is not being done because the council will rather let residents's cars collide with buses and other vehicles than spend money on preventing disasters.
I am requesting a positive response to my message within the next seven working days.
If I am fobbed off or ignored, the authorities auditing environmental department of Lewisham council will be notified that the department is ignoring their responsibilities and should be made to account for the budget given to them.

What is the status of the work due re CAS - 438 1259-P2M9G7, please. May I point out that the three main branches of the most easterly tree in question leans over my property, may I ask for this to be made a priority. As it will cause continuing problems, is it possible fir this tree to be felled? I reported in the 90's that these trees were unsuitable for the location and have been a regular cause for council expense since.-The Glebe, London SE3 9TT, UK
