The road surface opposite 27 Longton Avenue appears to be slowly sinking / subsiding with the road surface visibly dipping, cracking in a crescent shape and the kerb height on the park side of the road now down to 1-2 inches from 4-5 inches previously with rainwater pooling in the gutter. In my opinion it will not be too long before rainwater run off constantly flows across the pavement into the park as it does now on occasion.
The raised iron works (mains sewer cover now standing 3-4 inches proud of the road surface) repeatedly scheduled for repair for the past several months but constantly deferred is a physical symptom of the issue which is now visibly worsening at an accelerating rate.

Vibration from HGV's and other heavy vehicles running over the raised iron works can only be worsening the issue which may have been originally caused by enhanced subsurface rainwater / spring water run off from the building site at 27 Longton Ave following the demolition of the house that previously stood there.

It should also be noted that the pavement outside 27 Longton Ave has substantially deformed and buckled as well and now constitutes a pedestrian trip hazard.-27 Longton Avenue, London, SE26 6RE
